Links

Just a few useful/interesting links for lovers of or visitors to the region, in no particular order. I’ll be adding to these over time.

Firstly, a great photographic and walking resource: http://dromescape.blogspot.co.uk/

My favourite local bike shop: Vélo Drôme in Die. Repairs, spares, and reasonable bike hire.

Diois Tourism Office – very helpful… they do speak English, though it’s always helpful to have some French in these parts.

Of the few webcams locally to check weather, the best two are at Font d’Urle and Col de Rousset up on the Vercors Plateau. http://www.ladromemontagne.fr/fr/hiver/webcams.htm

If you’re after a gîte to stay in, my friends Valérie and Jérôme in Die have a charming little place on their farm. http://www.gite-diois.com/

In the summer, the swimming pool in Die is stunning, though, like all French swimming pools, you’ll need to wear trunks or similar (no bathing shorts allowed). http://www.mairie-die.fr/La-Piscine,21.html Open 1 June until 18 September.
