Romeyer flowers

A little local stroll this morning, and more fun with the macro capability on my Sony HX50. I’m afraid that the only plant of these I can name is the rose, and apologies to those of you who would like foliage and a scale, but there’s something rather fun and beautiful about presenting these not knowing just how big they are: beauty at the tiniest scale is somehow even more precious.

Vercors flowers

I’m here for a week or so, this time with my mother, so little cycling on the menu: we’ve hired a car, so I’m taking the chance to do a few more conventionally touristy things than I do normally, and things not easily done on the bike.

I’ll do a round-up of more in due course, but for now, here are some flowers from the amazing Vallon de Combeau, from yesterday – all within a couple of hundred yards of parking the car.
