With another warm day forecast, and market to do, a quickish early spin up the Gorges des Gåts, the Boulc tunnel (whose lighting seems to have improved), and the col de Miscon. As I did it, I realised that I’d not done this in the early morning before, and the light was stunning. And I took pictures. Again.

Looking at what I think is 1023 m on the Col de Miscon, what is the actual climb from your base? I’m guessing that Die is a couple of hundred metres or so above sea level.

Die’s 400m, so it’s not a big climb. 100m of the climb is inside the Boulc tunnel, which is 11%.

So the average climb from your base is probably under 1000 m unless you do more than one! Well, I think it’s tip the chapeau to you in this heat!

Indeed, though there are two or three that end up being 1100/1200m, such as from Pont-en-Royans
